NBAD Update – November 27, 2020

Guidelines on Providing Services During Covid-19
As the province of New Brunswick is changing restrictions in different zones, NBAD wishes to remind members in private practice and in community-based practices to follow the directions of the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health (OCMOH) and the Government of New Brunswick’s Recovery Plan in accordance to each level by zone. Note for Orange Level Zones: Primary care providers and regulated health professionals may operate but are urged to use virtual appointments whenever possible.

Dietitians employed by hospitals, health authorities and publicly funded long-term care facilities should refer to the guidance provided by their employers and the OCMOH.

Member Survey – Pre-Authorized Payments
NBAD is exploring the option of pre-authorized debit payment method for registration fees (debits collected in advance prior to renewal). To determine if it is cost-effective for the Association, we would like to know how many members would be interested in using this payment format. Please answer this quick 2-question survey by Friday, December 11, 2020.

Statistics Canada Questionnaire
Statistics Canada is administering a short crowdsourced questionnaire on the Impacts of COVID-19 on Health Care Workers: Infection Prevention and Control. This initiative is a collaboration between Statistics Canada, Health Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada, and the Canadian Institute for Health Information. Consult the invitation for further information. Click here to access the questionnaire. The online questionnaire is accessible until December 13, 2020.
