COVID-19 Update: The NBAD Board of Directors have approved to extend the registration renewal deadline until May 31, 2020 at 11:59 pm. This includes the submission of the Continuing Competence Program (CCP) for 2019/2020, submission of CCP learning goals for 2020/2021, profile update, practice update and fees.
The 2020 Registration Renewal Period will be open on March 1, 2020. To access your NBAD Member Account, click the ”Member Login” red button on the NBAD website and follow the instructions on the 2020 Registration Renewal Guide.
All certificate of registration expire on May 31, 2020 (approved extended deadline); therefore, you must renew your certificate prior to 11:59 pm on May 31, 2020.
What do you need to complete the registration renewal:
- Continuing Competence Program Workbook
- Current employer information
- Annual registration fee payment
Non-compliance with renewal requirements:
After 11:59 pm on May 31, 2020, all members whose renewal (CCP learning plan, profile update, practice update and/or fees) are past due will be suspended. A member who has been suspended shall pay a reinstatement fee equal to one years’ registration fee. NBAD sends a letter to those whose certificate of registration is suspended.
On June 1, 2020, the Registrar informs the member’s last employer on record that the member failed to renew their membership and that their membership is suspended.
Annual Registration Fees for Registration Renewal – Additional Payment Option
The Board of Directors has approved an alternative payment option for registration renewal for members facing financial difficulties as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Members will be able to pay the 2020/2021 annual registration fees in two installments: 50% of fees by May 31, 2020 and 50% of fees by August 31, 2020. Consult the Instructions for Online Installment Payment Option for information on how to complete the payment step in the online registration renewal.
Members wishing to participate in the installment option must complete and submit the Annual Fee Installment Payment Option Form to the NBAD office by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by fax to (506) 450-9375. They will indicate on this form the 2nd installment payment method. This completed form and payment methods must be received by May 31, 2020.
In the form and the payment methods are not received by May 31, 2020, it will be considered as non-compliance with the registration requirements. All registrations will be suspended if payment is not received by this deadline. A member who has been suspended shall pay a reinstatement fee equal to one years’ registration fee.
Important By-Law Changes
At the AGM held on May 11th, 2017, the Motion 13.1 to amend the By-Law XIV Finances – Annual Fees was voted on and approved by members (present in person or by proxy) at the May 2017 AGM. The amount of the annual fee will be as follows:
a) for the registration year 2018-2019: $345.00
b) for the registration year 2019-2020: $375.00
c) for the registration year 2020-2021: $395.00
