Dietitians Act Newsletter #4: Engagement of Key Audiences

Welcome to our fourth Dietitians Act Newsletter: Legislation that Nourishes Change

In this edition, the Association is pleased to share that we will be entering the Stakeholder Engagement Phase for the new Act. We will also share during this phase a summary of the revised Regulations. This important phase is scheduled to take place from November 2026 through February 2027 and will provide an opportunity to hear from those who will be impacted by, involved in, or have an interest in the new Act.

Starting with Our Members

Our engagement will begin with Association members. Your questions, perspectives, and feedback will play an important role in helping us understand the potential impact of the new Act and identify opportunities for meaningful engagement throughout the process.

Following the initial member engagement, the Association will connect with a broader range of stakeholders, which will include, but not limited to:

  • Allied Health Professionals
  • Vitalité Health Network
  • Horizon Health Network
  • NB Nutrition Programs, including the Université de Moncton and Moncton Hospital
  • Other partners, organizations, and stakeholders who may be affected by or have an interest in the new Act

What Happens Next?

The engagement period will run from November 2026 to February 2027. During this time, we will gather feedback from members and stakeholders. The engagement will be done through various platforms, such as Alinity, MS forms surveys, virtual mini focus groups, in-person and/or virtual meetings.

Following the engagement phase, the Association will analyze the information received and identify key themes, priorities, and outcomes. A summary of the engagement findings will then be shared with members through newsletters.

We look forward to working with our members and stakeholders throughout this important process. Your participation and feedback will help inform the Association’s understanding of the new Act and support our work moving forward.

More information about engagement opportunities and how members can participate will be shared in the next newsletter as we approach November 2026.
