The Registration Renewal Period is open between March 1 and March 31 of each year. To access your NBAD Member Account, click the ”Member Login” red button on the NBAD website and follow the instructions on the Registration Renewal Guide.
All certificate of registration expire on March 31; therefore, you must renew your certificate prior to 11:59 pm Atlantic Standard Time (AST) on March 31 of each year.
What do members need to complete the registration renewal:
- Continuing Competence Program Workbook
- Current employer information
- Annual registration fee payment
Non-compliance with renewal requirements:
After 11:59 pm AST on March 31 of each year, all members whose renewal (CCP learning plan, profile update, practice update and/or payment of payment of fees) are past due will be suspended. An Active Member or Temporary Member who has been suspended shall pay a reinstatement fee of $452 in addition to the cost of renewal of $452. A Retired Member who has been suspended shall pay a reinstatement fee of $25 in addition to the cost of renewal of $145. NBAD sends a letter to those whose certificate of registration is suspended.
On April 1 of each year, the Registrar informs the member’s last employer on record that the member failed to renew their membership and that their membership is suspended.
In addition to paying by credit card or cheque, members have the option of paying registration fees with Interact e-Transfer. Members can submit an Interact e-Transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org. NBAD has Autodeposit. Should you be required to enter a password, choose “nutrition”. However, they must indicate their full name and registration number in the Message box while completing their Interact e-Transfer.
As with other payment methods, Interact e-Transfers must be received each year by March 31 at 11:59 pm AST. After this deadline, it is considered late and non-compliant with the NBAD By-Laws; registration will be suspended and reinstatement fees will be required.
